Listen now
Description
Summary : This session begins with sharing videos depicting a growing population of particles that motivate a problem and discussion about exponential growth with students. In this problem, students are given the "law of growth" and are asked whether it is exponential, and if so, to find its equation. We include a discussion with participants about how this activity might be facilitated in a grade 11 or 12 classroom.
