Stroke
I feel so desperately for Dr Bradshaw who now finds himself in a position so dreaded by most of us. I myself have made it known to my husband and family and friends that I do not want any medical intervention should I have a stroke, heart attack or cancer. Why do we feel so absolutely that life must be clung to no matter the consequences? I am only 55 years old, mother of four adult children and a devout Catholic and I know my Real Life will begin once this mortal body wastes away. I have been told that there is a chance if my husband does not call an ambulance upon the sudden onset of one of the aforementioned illnesses that he may be liable to charges of manslaughter! This horrifies me as it goes against my explicit wishes. Surely if we are free citizens we have the privilege of deciding not to live out our days as a burden to ourselves and those we love. Let me go to Heaven, I say, when the Almighty calls me there! W Reid

Brilliant short-form, self-contained episodes. Have gone on to research further the things discussed... this podcast has been responsible for a good chunk of my recent book purchases! Thanks!
