Like it, but never listen to the last bits
I genuinely like this podcast and the stories told in it are truly chilling. Some stories I don’t know if I agree it’s supernatural or real (people like to tell stories), but very entertaining and chilling either way. I never finish the episodes though. I used to, their banter at the end is sometimes funny but as I started paying attention more a lot of their views are very narrow-minded and sometimes come off as somewhat offensive (I do not think it’s meant to be). The last episode is what got me to write this review. Stockton is near and dear to my heart so I’ve kept up with the serial killer there. Talking about his criminal history explains him a little bit, but saying something along the lines of “he had parking tickets and drug charges and he still got out to kill people” rubbed me very wrong. There was more to the story obviously (he had violent offense iirc) and the justice system is broken but insinuating (even unintentionally) that someone going to jail for possession or minor dealing deserves to be locked up for good isn’t something I look for when I listen to spooky podcasts. Other things have rubbed me wrong before too but this one got to me a bit more. Still a great podcast and I’ll continue to listen and recommend it. The last 20 minute or so of banter just aren’t for me.
