It's Friday afternoon, which means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is all set and ready to carry you into the weekend. Kicking off the Friday podcast, we got started with a delicious debate about why the Oilers are better suited to win the Stanley Cup this year over last year. From the increased levels of experience to the way they had to fight through adversity early in the season to their improved forward depth, there are plenty of reasons to believe the Oilers can legitimately make a go of it. Changing gears, we looked ahead at tonight's matchup versus the Arizona Coyotes only to have the conversation derailed in minutes because of the Utah relocation news. After Frank Seravalli broke the news that the Coyotes will be moving to Salt Lake City for next season, it's almost a relief that this neverending story is finally reaching a conclusion. Turning our attention to what's left on the Oilers' schedule, we looked at this week's games against the Coyotes and Canucks and debated whether or not it makes sense for McDavid to sit out the whole weekend. Seeing as the Oilers still have the chance to win the Pacific Division, picking up wins is incredibly important, but do the points matter more than Connor being healthy for the playoffs? Lastly, we wrapped up the Friday episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold Performers before wrapping up the podcast with some score predictions ahead of the games against the Coyotes and Canucks.
