In this discourse, Om Swami talks about the time when Lord Ram is back in Ayodhya after winning the war in Lanka and handing the kingdom's reigns (Lanka)to Vibheeshan. Lakshman, having been in the constant company of his brother lord Ram through thick and thin, was nagged by the thought that lord Ram considered both Bharat and Hanuman as saintly and had mentioned it often but had never mentioned it to him(Lakshman) in those terms. To get an answer to this, Lakshman places his doubt in front of lord Ram. Lord Ram responds by saying that it's easy for people to relinquish things when one does not have anything, but to relinquish when one has everything is very difficult and could not have been done by anyone except Bharat. According to Lord Ram, any other person other than Bharat would surely have ruled the land and enjoyed the power that came with it for fourteen years.
