Among many awards, today’s guest was the first full-time blogger admitted to the Society of American Travel Writers and the first-ever elected to its national board of directors. He is a two-time finalist for National Geographic Traveller's Travel Blog of the year and in 2010, his blog, Everything Everywhere, was named a Top 25 blog in the world by Time Magazine. What's more, as a photographer he is a 3-time Lowell Thomas Award Winner (the highest honor in travel journalism) for Photo Illustration of Travel. He was named Travel Photographer of the Year by the Society of American Travel Writers and twice by the North American Travel Journalists Association. He has been named on the list of the 100 Most Influential Photographers in the World the last 3 years in a row. As if all this wasn't enough, his podcast, This Week in Travel, is a 3-time award winner for Best Podcast.
