“Donny has always been someone who I’ve enjoyed listening or watching either when he had The Big Idea, or as a guest on Morning Joe and Deadline Whitehouse. His east coast roots and demeanor remind me of my friends and relatives. He’s also as we’d say someone who has a lot of “seychel” or street smarts.
He brings a unique perspective and succeeds at sharing his expertise, insights, authenticity and passion for the role branding plays in business, entertainment, sports and politics.
At the start of the show, he does a lightening round of rating brands of the week as either up or down. He not only doesn’t mince words, he’s very believable. I used the word authentic above as he speaks with conviction and gives concrete examples for each brand that often leaves me with an aha moment.
Then he switches gears and interviews someone of celebrity status, from Joe Scarborough, Tommy Hilfiger, or Michael J. Fox, etc. and makes it fun to hear. He knows how to draw the best out of each person and I look forward to each episode.
