Description
Matt Blease is a freelance illustrator. Before going into illustration full time he spent some years at branding agencies and also led the graphic design department at Liberty. In our conversation, we talk about Matt’s transition from branding and graphic design to illustration, how he discovered his illustration style in his 30s and how having kids unlocked an unlimited resource for stories and observational illustrations. Matt also debunks the myth that you can’t make money in illustration and shares with us tips for getting seen and getting work in the post-pandemic world. -- Matt’s website: mattbleasegeneralstore.com -- This season of the On Design podcast is brought to you by The Conran Shop.
