“Okay, so this is an extremely late (sorry about that) review of the Swan Queen episode. I have the absolute worst attention span of anyone in the entire world. But I listened to this entire podcast straight through, which I NEVER do, because it was absolutely fantastic! I really loved the discussion of all the different movies (Deadpool is awesome), and the conversation about feminism in the X Files and OUAT was really interesting. And then the music from Witch Hunt came on and I started smiling like crazy and I didn't stop for the rest of the episode. Honestly, they could not have picked a better scene to represent this couple. Swan Queen is one of my favourite things in the world and they highlighted so many of my favourite things about the ship - the amazing development, the way they balance each other out, their fantastic potential as a love story, and more. I agree with everything they said about it. Over the course of the episode, they covered so many excellent points about the Emma/Regina relationship in a thoughtful, intelligent, respectful, and thorough manner. They put into words all of my feelings about the ship that I didn't know how to articulate and they made me fall in love with Swan Queen all over again. As a supporter of a non-canon ship I often feel isolated from the rest of OUAT fandom, so it meant a lot to me that they chose to include Swan Queen in their series on shipping. Anyway, sorry if this is somewhat incoherent (I am not much of a writer) but this was just an absolutely brilliant episode and I am so very grateful to Amanda and Brittany for creating it. Thank you, thank you so much, you guys are the best!”
