“I have listened to a great many board game and RPG podcasts. I was looking for an “actual play” podcast for Torg Eternity, and I found this show. Those episodes were fun, so I figured I would see what else they had. I have been interested in Kids on Bikes for a while now, so I decided to listen to the five episodes of that game as well.
I am so glad I did. The game was entertaining, the players gelled quite well, and the characters were all so endearing. I have never enjoyed a game podcast more.
The cast and GM take the story seriously, but not too seriously. They dip their toes into silliness, but don’t dive in. They strike a nice balance between the two poles, and it is refreshing to listen to.
I am just starting the fourth episode and am dreading the end of this five-parter. I would dearly love to follow Mr. Bailey, Brody, Cody, and Hank on many more adventures. Alas, all good things must fall to nostalgia. I’m heartened by the possibility of more great games from this podcast going forward.”
