“I recently discovered this podcast from a ChooseFI episode and am so glad I did. We are a family of 4 - I’m a registered nurse, and my wife works as a teacher; we have an 11 year old daughter and 9 y/o son, and your content and advice fits this season of our life perfectly.
Over the past few years, we’ve begun to realize that our time together is not infinite and that we need to be more intentional about spending as much quality time together as possible. Since then, we’ve done a few epic international trips (including a week in an RV in Iceland) but many more local ‘ordinary’ activities. The brown sign episode you did was wonderful!
Just a few days ago, my wife and I discussed how the 2021 supply chain disruption could really be a good thing for Christmas, and we are considering planning activities and adventures with family instead of just giving physical gifts.
As we plan crazy experiences, the discussion often heads to, “We could never do that.” We’ve found that asking, ”But what if we HAD to?” opens a lot of doors.
