More sensitivity needed re: advertisements
An episode about a mother with binge eating and suicidal thoughts had a very jarring ad in the middle for “satisfy your binge with binge-worthy streaming movies” or something like that. Just felt insensitive at the time and turned me off to this show. No fault of the content - more a production issue. If you are going to make a show around serious, sensitive issues then you also need to keep that in mind when selling advertising time.

This is a brilliant podcast that helps to de-stigmatize mental health issues and the very act of getting therapy. Hearing about other peoples’ problems definitely helps in feeling less alone. Thank you Hilary!

CBC receives 2 billion plus from taxpayers, also makes its own money on top. 25 plus podcasts, with 1-2 or even 3 paid actors. These “free” podcasts have cost Canadians over 60 dollars for each man woman and child per year, or over 300 per avg family. Then gives this “free” (CDN taxpayer paid)...Read full review »
