It’s awe inspiring to listen in real time as a fragile, overflowing vessel of pain is carefully passed from one human to another and transforms en route to a beautiful, loved child. And the frank relief that the speaker is allowed to feel, so that she can go about her life lighter, knowing that part is being taken care of - by someone who sees it with enthusiastic affection rather than “ick” and judgement.
