Medicinal Cannabis, the theme of this episode was presented by Professor Declan Ali, who completed a BSc in Biology and Physics at the University of Toronto in 1991 and joined Dr. Ian Orchard's lab, later that year, as an MSc student.  Today, he is a Member of the Society for Neuroscience, the International Brain Research Organization and other societies. In addition, he is also an Associate Editor for Scientific Reports and Advances in Drug and Alcohol Research. You will listen to a brief history of the use of medicinal cannabis and why policy-makers from different countries see this practice so differently. The benefits of medical cannabis and how we can access it are discussed as well. It is also mentioned the different methods of administration and which diseases it can be used for. Finally, the main regulatory challenges of medical cannabis and what to expect in the future are highlighted.
