Description
It is no secret we love a good film festival at Out Takes so for this program we looked at two coming our way this November. First up we discussed the 2023 Cunard British Film Festival which is presented by Palace Cinemas and is a showcase for many new and retrospective British films. Two of the fantatsic new features on offer were the Noel Coward documentary ‘Mad About Ther Boy’ and ‘Pretty Red Dress’, the brilliant debut film from London based writer/director Dionne Edwards. We enjoyed both for many different reasons and were delighted to be joined by Dionne Edwards to discuss her film and more on this show. We also took another look at the program for the 33rd annual Melbourne Queer Film Festival a.k.a MQFF which is back in cinemas from November 9 to 19 and once again we provided a few more recommendations on what to check out on the big screen at this years festival.
