Description
With the silly season just around the corner, we dedicated this program to bringing you the latest on a great new film that looks at Christmas from a very queer and Australian perspective. ‘A Savage Christmas’ is a new Aussie film that takes the experience of spending Christmas with the family and turns it on its head in many surprising and funny ways. Written and directed by Madeleine Dyer and featuring a fantastic cast including Thea Raveneau, an Aboriginal Transgender Woman in her first major film role, and Helen Thomson, who will be well known to many from her film and television roles including the very popular ‘Colin From Accounts’. Thea and Helen joined us in the show to share their experience behind the scenes and to tell us why this film is a much-needed addition to the holiday season film cannon. We also shared a few recommendations on some LGBTIQ festive films to check out in the lead up to December 25. Happy holidays!
