Description
God accomplishes great things through the Lord's Supper. Here, our Lord delivers the forgiveness of sins not as a generic doctrinal statement but through a physical means delivered particularly to you. The Supper is accomplished not by works but, as Luther states, "for the words “For you” require nothing but believing hearts."
