Space for everyone
Have listened to quite a few of your episodes and overall, quite enjoy the podcast. Your recent ep on shameless though didn’t sit quite right with me. I’m an OG listener of shameless and am one of those people who agree with the feedback that they should cut the in jokes etc. and I haven’t been listening as much recently. Your analysis came across like you were taking a dig at the girls rather than their content and using words like “beef” in regards to their relationship with Mamma Mia seemed OTT. It would be great for you guys to address the influence shameless has had on your podcast as your artwork was originally a spitting image of theirs, you use the pop culture audio transitions, did a quick and dirty style segment, promoted your podcast in their group and called your interviews in conversations. There’s nothing wrong with taking influence from others in the industry you look up to but for you to not acknowledge this and then have a dig at them isn’t a great look. I’ll keep listening and agree, there’s definitely room for loads of podcasts and women in this area but it would be great for you to address this and have a look at some of the language you’re using. Thanks!

There’s been a few times of mixing people’s names up in the media, but this is a pop culture podcast so you can’t...Read full review »
