“When first happening upon John and Sol’s lovely dialogues I was but a fledgling within the world of fashion. However, as time has passed, listening to “Pair of Kings” has been educational, informative and most of all extremely enjoyable. Their interaction with their fans and listeners is sublime, each week taking questions from social media. In cultivating their own profiles as podcast hosts, developing the skill since early 2020, both men have shown grace, poise and clarity in speaking on a variety of topics; from Rick Owens and his eschewing of male stereotypes to selvedge denim and everything in-between. Both guys are friendly, and extremely knowledgeable in their own respects. The sense of camaraderie that is portrayed is unlike anything I have witnessed, you truly believe you are sitting with friends having a discussion, and not just listening to two people talk. This podcast is so much more than can be put into words, you must listen for yourself, and enjoy, as they put it, “the business as usual and tomfoolery as planned”.
