A new set of (old) ideas!
I was brought in on the series focusing on connecting the colonial-experience and these are discussions that just HAVE to happen. Anyone who has grown up in a European/North American school has probably learned about the “white-washed” version of history. Speaking from my own experience, in the U.K. we were taught about the kings, queens, valiant conquests of “primitive” nations and so on. In that curriculum, there was no reference to the atrocities of colonisation and the effect it had on the natives of the colonised countries. Overall, I would highly highly highly highly recommend this podcast. So necessary to get you thinking about your own past narrative as well as the stories of others.
