PADs for Parkinson's is the only nonprofit organization in North America dedicated to the training of dogs for the detection of Parkinson's Disease. Today, PADs supports and maintains 18 dogs in the program. Ranging from Poodles to Pomeranians. Schnauzers to Shepherds. Herding to Hunting. All with the amazing ability to sniff out an odor molecule among hundreds of thousand of organic compounds. PADs has been training dogs for Parkinson's detection since early 2016. Just four months after the discovery of an odor associated with Parkinson's Disease. The PADs training facility is located in the Northwest on San Juan Island.
