Concerning Pauper to the People...don
Wow, never before have I been unable to finish a single episode of a podcast. I downloaded the most recent iteration because I just got into pauper and thought I might learn something. WRONG! These guys really have no idea what they are talking about and, on the very rare occasion that they seem they might have some knowledge on a subject, they decide not to share it with the rest of us and simply gloss over the topic. The first 15 minutes were occupied with zero content. Then the hosts went on to decree that two staples of the format should be banned. Really? What justification do they give? Basically, "Well I just hate that deck..." Absurd statements abound throughout. Here are some gems: "Poison can win on turn 2 if they want to!!!111!one" "I don't have a problem with Storm other than I can't win with it..." "I've never had a problem with Storm." "I'm willing to make the sacrifice [destroying the format] of banning Rancor to stop poison." "The community needs to be more outspoken [about banning cards]." "I hate that card...it's just...yeah, I hate it..." Not a minute later, about the same card: "I love that!" More frequently than I could handle: "[Indecipherable babble]" "[giggling]" This is by no means an exhaustive list but I think it illustrates my point. Save yourself some time and skip this podcast. As a person who defaults to giving the benefit of the doubt, I can tell you it's not worth it.
