This podcast is a love letter to not just The 1975, but to the very idea of being a fan. When you love something, it is immeasurably thrilling to find others who share that passion. Every week these three fans invite you into that space. Even if you don’t care for the band, you’ll be drawn in by how the hosts articulate this passion in minute detail. Whether it’s the excitement of discovering this band in the 1st place (when the 1st official The 1975 gig happened - as LCD Soundsystem would say - They Were There), to breaking down the evolution of the band since, to appreciating how the outside world reacts each step of the way, it’s a weekly dose of oxytocin which feels downright medicinal in this - the year of our nightmares - 2020. In fact that might be the best thing about this podcast. Years from now, it will serve as an artefact of how 3 friends helped to keep each other (and their audience) sane during the tumult of 2020, thanks to their love of The 1975. Aka, the real treasure is the friendship that flourished along the way. Also George’s Last Seen should win Podcast Feature of the Year. Thank you Josh, Matt, and Dan. They moved their content to YouTube as well & I just really enjoy this podcast. As a big The 1975 fan, I’ve beat the horse to death talking about them in convo with my *regular, non ‘75 listening* friends, so satisfying to listen to people who love the music as much as I do. Good vibes, nice,...Read full review »
