Description
My company was started in 1997 when my mother Phyllis, after being diagnosed with cancer, desired soaps with no unbeneficial additives such as propylparabens, methylparabens, petroleum distillates, hexyls, benzyls. I did extensive research about alternative lotions, soaps and other skin care products. Through the Internet, just one of many valuable resources utilized, I ordered a number of books on soaps and soap making. Exhaustive tinkering and tweaking of formulations and ingredients yielded the recipes that are the foundations of my product lines. These lovingly prepared products have since been the first and only choice of many of our local area customers, but now visitors to our shop from other states and countries, are ordering our products exclusively. In 2007, we went national with our patents: The New Hope Skin Formulation and the Lotion Jar in a Bar, both Trademarked and Patented. We have also changed our concept of natural. We no longer will add colorants or fragrance oils due to research and study of the dangers of adding them. We have phased out our colored bars unless colored with herbal colorants and are selling only naturally colored handmade soap or a combination of our oatmeal and glycerin handmade soap, with essential oils and essential oils plant derived blends. Thank you, Trish
