Poorly Informed Opinion Podcast - Update
2018 update: Love the podcast at this point. People with strong opinions are often WRONG and you just have to deal with it (Captain!). Overall, I love the show and want more. ************************** Updated Again: OK, I finished listening to the full 2-part AOA pod. It seems they took my criticism to heart and made a specific effort to address it. That is cool. Real cool. I also really enjoyed the “music lesson” in “THIS IS WHAT IT FEELS LIKE.” It takes men to take criticism and make it something positive; to use it for improvement and not assume it is trolling. I stil disagree with the “Cage to my dove” assessment, but there is room for all of us in the Purple Army. And the HITN’RUN pod didn’t anger me at all. :) I’ll keep listening and hopefully revise upward again. Updated: I listened to another pod. Gave them a chance… The one guy who thinks the lyric is “Like a cage to my dove,” thinking Prince doesn’t mind keeping doves in cages… The lyric is “You’re the cage to my dove,” as in “You have captured my heart. My love belongs to you.” Please have INFORMED opinions, guys. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I don’t normally write bad reviews but… When a guy calls “WHAT IT FEELS LIKE” a “filler” song because he doesn’t realize the song before it lead right into it (“This could b us/but u don’t have time/4 me no more”), it is called back in the some “TIME” AND the line “This is what it feels like” is repeated at the end of the last song on Andy Allo’s album (Stars Collide, SUPERCONDUCTOR), I have to turn this off. No research, no facts, just opinion. “I don’t LIKE the slower R&B” so I don’t like AOA? What the hell. I feel like I can do a better job.

Great podcast, and I really appreciate that genuine musicians are discussing the GOATs music.

I always look forward to hearing the 4 guys waxing lyrical over a Prince project. Their reviews makes me revisit a album. Long may they continue.
