“I tuned into this on the off-chance it’d tick a few boxes but was left disappointed. In fairness, I only listened to two episodes, one about the strength in depth of the cast of Aliens, with a special focus on the Colonial Marines in which the presenters didn’t even seem to clearly be able to identify the individual marines - the most basic of errors when being supposed subject matter experts.
Another ep was purportedly a book review, in which one host hadn’t even completely listened to the audiobook, never mind actually read the whole book themself. The ‘review’ element of the episode made up about 5 minutes of a 35-minute podcast that was largely inarticulate waffle. The five-star reviews given to this can only have been from family and friends because this is absolutely dire.”
