“I don’t think I’ve ever viscerally disliked someone more than Peter King after a few episodes of a podcast. I don’t enjoy his voice or editorializing. He’s often condescending and judgmental in his openings. It’s really off-putting and arrogant. I listen for the guests, but would honestly prefer listening to basically anyone else interview them. King is also completely deferential to the guests, which is antagonistic to journalism. He’ll brutally condemn individuals in his opening and then brown nose the people he actually has an opportunity to ask pointed questions. It’s almost the perfect encapsulation of how the press has failed in recent decades.”
