Description
It's a fact. There are a greater amount of people over 65 years old who are healthy living longer. However, there are also a significant amount of seniors who will cause the demand for home care and hospice services to skyrocket in the near future. Conservative estimates expect the aging baby boomer generation to push the demand up an astonishing 75%. In other words, the number of people over the age of 65 needing long-term support services is set to rise from about 1.3 million in 2010 to over 2.3 million by the year 2030. Kelli Stovall RPh., sits down with Debbie Marcello, RN, to discusses the benefits that the Independent Pharmacy Cooperative brings to their Independent Pharmacy members to encourage and support pharmacy growth.  The time is now to look into combining home care and pharmacy services. With remote patient monitoring, intelligent pharmacy software systems, and other digital health tools, now is the time to expand your long term care at home pharmacy services.
