“They get some great guests (Benji Eisen was particularly interesting), but the hosts could stand to improve. Too often will the guest be talking and one of the hosts will make a cliché “Phishy” allusion or witticism, which is tired in real life and even moreso on a podcast. Also, they just don’t always listen to the guest’s narrative that well. For instance, when they were interviewing the former 12 Tribes member, the guest was explaining a period of extreme poverty marked by a lack of adequate food, and a host inquired, unironically, if she was operating a chain of restaurants at that point.”
