Listen now
Description
Gardai confirmed today that the body of a baby found on a beach in Balbriggan died shortly before being born and was found a day or so after. The Gardai have named the baby “Belle”. They also appealed for the mother to come forward and seek medical attention, they stressed that this isn’t a criminal investigation and the woman is not in any trouble. There has been an outpouring of sympathy for the mother online with many people saying that this woman could have been going through a crisis pregnancy and maybe had to face this tragic situation alone. Though some people have condemned this mother and said Gardai should be trying to track this woman down to arrest her. Some were even horrified how a mother could ever dream of dumping the body of her own new born child on a remote beach. What do you make of this tragic incident? Should Gardai be looking to arrest her? Or maybe you think there are a lot of judgemental people out there who have no consideration of what this woman might have gone through?
