Roscommon Eviction: Who Is The Real Victim?
Listen now
Description
If someone has a history of failing to pay a number of debts they owe, are they really a victim? Tom doesn't think so: There are people out there that deserve to be protected from the banks, but this guy in Roscommon is definitely not one of them. What I can’t understand is that this person has a history of not paying his debts. How is he a victim? He has 5 land portfolios - one second these protestors hate property owners and land owners, they next they are screaming they are the victim? Like, which is it? This guy in Roscommon has debts from years ago, from 2009 that he hasn’t paid back. He has left other Irish businesses out of pocket for almost €20,000?! How in the name of god is this guy a victim? This guy seems to have loans left right and centre and refuses to pay them back. This is what happens when you refuse to take responsibility for your finances. The rest of us do, we pay our loans, credit cards and mortgages, why doesn’t this guy? I hate these people sharing those social media videos and being outraged. It’s not like it’s easy for the banks to get judgments on properties. It takes years. That means you have years to pay off your debts and sort your life out. People need to cop on and realise this lad is no angel. He’s put other business at risk. Other jobs at risk and has a long history of terrible financial decisions and reckless behaviour. Tom."
