What do you make of this message from Alan about International Mens Day? "Keith, just wanted to let you know that today is international men’s day. Most people probably don’t know, because as per usual, no one cares about men’s issues. The red carpet was rolled out for women when it was there day, there was special offers, promotions and wall to wall media coverage. But when it’s men’s day, god no. 2018 has been the year of man bashing and I’m sick of it. Women have never had it easier, yet...

You may have seen the results of a “child obesity report” that recommends that schools should ban vending machines and a “no fry zone” should be set up to prevent new takeaways opening up near schools. Sinead wants more power to be given to the Luas security and thinks it's more dangerous than it's ever been: "Keith you need to bring up the state of the LUAS and how dangerous it’s become. It has been a running joke ever since it launched about how rough the red line is, but last night, I was pretty much attacked on it. And it’s not the first time something like this has happened. A woman, clearly a junkie, off her head, came on and asked me for money. I politely said I didn’t have anything...

Should using a woman's underwear against her in a rape trial be banned? Mike sent this into us: "Kieth, can you please talk about the outrage about underwear being used in rape cases, because people are ignoring something important here. It’s perfectly legal and within the law to use clothing and underwear in rape cases - as uncomfortable as it may sound, your clothing gives an indication to your intentions and your mindset. Clothing takes conscious attention and effort, from what you wear to...

It was in the news today about "local thugs" forcing builders to stop construction of much needed social housing in the St.Cuthbert's area of Clondalkin. We got this message from a listener which wishes to remain anon. "Not only is this a disgrace and the community should band together to chase these scumbags out of the area but I think those who are awaiting social housing should be given other locations to live in. Imagine waiting years for social housing and then find out they want to drop...

Publicans in Dublin have strongly objected to plans for an injection centre to be built near Merchants Quay. Do you have any sympathy for them? Derek sent this into us: "Hi Keith, can you please talk about this. The vintners association are trying to block something that is very much needed in Dublin and that is injection centres for drug addicts. We all know Dublin has a huge drugs problem and it’s only getting worse - so we need a real solution that will help and injection centres are that....

Some people who die on our streets can't be helped. That's according to this message Fergal sent us in today: "Hi Keith, today everyone has come out to shout and blame the government - nobody has come out offering a bed to a rough sleeper might I add, why do something that might help, when you can moan online??  But, sometimes, there are people out there who are beyond help. Who refuse help, who refuse shelter and refuse food. The charities know this too well and so do the all the services...

In reaction to Peter Casey's surge in popularity last Friday Allison wrote us in this. "I’d like to address the racist cohort of Irish people who gave Peter Casey such a large proportion of votes. I had thought that Ireland was better than this, to resort to bigotry but sadly I was wrong. Imagine being part of the travelling community waking up to the news that 21% of people voted basically against them. Or imagine how the unemployed feel who’s lives are already hard enough as it is who have...

Should people from Britain be banned from purchasing property in Ireland? Gary sent this into us today: "Keith can you please talk about this on the show. I read today that more and more British people are buying up property here because of brexit and outbidding loads of Irish families for homes and apartments. This has to be stopped. British people have made their own mess and have no right to cause any disruption to us here, especially when it comes to housing. If the government knew what...
