If I could give more stars I would! 💫⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
I haven’t ever written a review before, but felt a strong inclination to write one tonight. I don’t have many friends who watch The Magicians — and even less (like zero) who have read the books. I was late to The Magicians bandwagon coming in before the start of season two. I was even later when it came to podcast listening. I subscribed to all of the podcasts covering this show. I will admit I was a little tentative at first thinking Dani and Clara were too “froofy” especially when they had a segment dedicated to the fashion of the show. Color me surprised when after a few episodes I began to LOOK FORWARD to the fashion discussions!! I started looking more closely and paying more attention to the characters clothing and will even think to myself “I wonder if they are going to mention so-and-so’s such-and-such...”. This show has become my favorite of the two I still listen to. I will listen to the second podcast first because I know it will be anti-climactic if I listened to Clara and Dani first. I applaud and look forward to Clara’s ‘deep dives’ into the history and lore of gods and goddesses. I find myself doing similar dives when something strikes me. There is this need to find out everything there is about a topic or subject and I become this fount of random knowledge. This last episode podcast (Season 4 Ep 12) really struck me to my core. The honesty and openness that Clara, Dani, and even Jade shared with the listeners took MASSIVE amounts of courage, strength, and trust. I, myself, have found solitude, comfort, and friends in the worlds I found through reading — often times when those three things were missing in my ‘reality’. I could escape into these realms where anything was possible and so much was acceptable. Coming out as gay in my teens and again as trans I my late thirties I needed these worlds and friends. There were times when holding onto the thought “...but I won’t know what happens in the next book...” keep me from making a permanent decision to a temporary problem. That said, I wanted to check in with Dani and Clara. I haven’t seen the podcast for S4 Ep13 drop yet when they are usually so punctual. I hope everything is ok - and I understand the extra time to process the season finale. Maybe they are taking extra time to give the shear breadth of the events that occurred in this episode it’s due course. Looking forward to the next podcast, ladies. Thank you for being you. **a friend from the Bay Area**

Because if all the nervous and awkward laughter. It ruins the interviews and it also makes them sound unintelligent, which I’m sure they aren’t. Yes the sound isn’t the best either, but it’s the annoying super loud laughter that makes me have to cut the episode short. Other than that it’s a...Read full review »
