Here's a talk I recently gave at Leiden University on December 12th 2018. I provide an overview of HRV and its role in mental illness, which is generally characterised by reduced HRV. I will also cover how reduced HRV has important functional significance for social behaviours and psychological flexibility in response to stressors. Easy access to measuring HRV is both one of its strengths and weaknesses, so I also discuss its responsible application in biobehavioral research.  Links Here's...

I had a chat with Belinda Poole, a graduate student from the University of Sydney (my alma mater!), about her first meta-analysis. We discuss the publication of meta-analysis protocols, how to best find mistakes in your data extraction, and using the JAMOVI software package as a stepping stone to R for meta-analysis.  Links Tutorial paper on meta-analysis P uniform Statcheck R meta-analysis mailing list JAMOVI Twitter Video episodes on Instagram Video episodes on YouTube
