Description
In this episode, Lindy Hughson, Managing Editor & Publisher of PKN Packaging News, talks with Mark Dingley, chairman of APPMA, and Jon Perry, Portfolio Director at Exhibitions & Trade Fairs, about the excitement building for Auspack 2022. We start off by talking about the return of the Auspack 2022 tradeshow and its importance for face-to-face engagements that build trust with suppliers and customers. Naturally, we discuss the COVID precautions being taken before moving on to discussing the volume of Australian exhibitors along with the technological developments since the previous Auspack event, including IoT devices, robotics, supply chain, traceability and a focus on packing materials and machinery. Mark and Jon also provide an overview of new features at Auspack, including a revamped APPMA stand, the volume of content being presented during the event and the all important Auspack Leaders Forum. The discussion moves onto Auspack 2022's restructure to maximise flexibility in person and online attendance. Mark and Jon give a sneak preview of what lies beyond the 2022 show, a new event, for the industry, by the industry. ------------------------------ The PKN Podcast is produced by Southern Skies Media on behalf of PKN Packaging News, owned and published by Yaffa Media.
