Planting Trees: Integrating Planetary Health into Family Medicine Training (Part One)
Listen now
Description
It's literally our biggest “patient” and becoming our sickest, so how can we adequately prepare new family docs to care for (and about) our planet?  In the first two episodes of our "Class of 2024" series, host Dr. Clayton Dyck is joined by family doctors, educators and activists Mayara Floss and Samantha Green to discuss innovative approaches to integrating planetary health in family medicine education in Brazil and Canada.  In the first part of their conversation, they discuss the competencies that FM trainees should be learning when it comes to planetary health and explore strategies for engaging with those faculty and students who may not see it to be “core” learning.  Resource list to follow in Part Two!
