Environmental lawyer Hugo Echeverria chats with Planet v. Profit host Kirsty Lang about the rights of nature. Echeverria has successfully argued in court that nature is a being, not property, and deserves protection. Hugo is at the forefront of this effort, especially in his home country of Ecuador, which in 2008 became the first nation to codify the rights of nature in its constitution.
