Contradictions and Stigma
Planners and Wine Podcast Megan and Myra I’m new to your podcast. I enjoyed part of a older episodes aired on MLK 2021 (Budgeting is for Everyone) . I was put off during the episode regarding the comments made about drug addiction. Megan and Myra came across as forgetting that drug addiction impacts all communities of color including Black celebrities. People should not be shamed for struggling with drug or alcohol addiction or having a past history of drug or alcohol addiction. Megan and Myra laughed and made fun of individuals who struggle with addiction, calling them crackheads. Then doubled down and gave a fake apology Karen apology. While laughing at drug addiction, Megan and Myra were also laughing at Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina Brown, Prince, Michael Jackson, Billie Holiday, Ray Charles, Mac Miller, Demi Lovato and Marion Barry, Britney Spears, Mary-Kate Olsen etc. On another podcast episode Jan 28th 2021, (The Adults are Back) Megan and Myra, decided to give opinions on individuals who have not received a Covid-19 vaccine. Clearly Megan and Myra are ableist who lack knowledge of immunocompromised people. And do not care about illegal medical experiments and no accountability for individuals who participated in illegal medical experiments such as John Hopkins. Declining to get a COVID-19 vaccine does not classify someone as anti-vaxxer. It does not mean they do not get other vaccines. Megan and Myra have a toxic relationship with the government. On one hand both are upset about the insurrection at the capitol however are gaslighting individuals who decline a Covid-19 vaccine. Vaccines which are controlled by the same government. People have a right to make the best decision for them. People have a right to be reluctant as a result of patterns. Promises made by vaccine manufacturers is between the manufacturers and their customers.

I’m new to planning and am so glad I found this podcast! Such real, funny, and insightful conversations. I’m learning so much about all the different ways people approach planning and getting a great introduction to brands and planner people to follow as well.
