Description
What started as a simple tweet, turned into an episode on the Plant Based Eating for Health Show with Dr. Matthew Nagra. The response to the tweet was incredible, and obviously hit a nerve with thousands of men and women around the globe. “Why is it that no one seems to bat an eye when a parent feed their kids unhealthy, garbage fast food, but the minute they say, "I'm raising my children on a healthy, whole food, plant-based diet" people scream child abuse? Really?? Have u checked stats on disease & obesity 4 kids?” Based on the responses the tweet received, I put out a request to my Twitter followers for a medical professional who advocates for children eating a healthy, plant-based diet. Within minutes I received a message from Dr. Nagra, who had been referred to me from my friend and colleague, Sandra Nomoto. Sandra is the author of the newly released book, Vegan Marketing Success Stories. Connections Matter One thing about the vegan community is people know people. Based on the recommendation by Sandra, followed by watching a previous interview Dr. Nagra did about the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle for children, I just knew I had to have him on the show. Dr. Nagra grew up in Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island. From a young age he struggled with multiple health issues such asthma, allergies, and weight management. It wasn’t until taking control of his own health and transitioning to a plant-based diet that Dr. Nagra noticed significant improvements, which were ultimately the catalyst for the career he chose. His mission is to help others do the same.
