From the mediaX Conference “Platforms for Collaboration and Productivity”, Michael Berstein from the department of Computer Science at Stanford University examines how computation might coordinate many peoples' abilities toward complex and interdependent goals. His researchers are exploring the potential of flash teams as a way of quickly crowdsourcing complex tasks, using a specially developed system for quickly gathering and guiding crowds of experts —including professional programmers, designers, singers and artists.
