“Very well produced and interesting series. I learned a lot of things I didn’t know. But the question remains: why didn’t bioethicists defend bodily autonomy unequivocally during the pandemic? Their ringing silence on the most basic of principles—the right to determine which interventions you want and which ones you don’t—has tarnished reputations, perhaps irreparably. Natural immunity was and is a thing. Failure to acknowledge that when making the ridiculous and unethical argument for the “greater good” was a massive fumble. Until that misstep is acknowledged, I consider most bioethicists tribal, wishy washy pseudo intellectuals.”
