“Boy Meets World was a huge part of my childhood. Because of its ability to cater to viewers of different ages, it was one of the only shows that my three siblings and I could all agree on, and truly brought us together, gave us something in common to discuss, and still gets quoted when we get together as adults.
As a fixture in the house, the characters almost felt like extended siblings. Cory’s antics, Shawn’s resilience, Topanga’s confidence and emotional intelligence, and Eric’s heart and humor grew up with me and helped me feel okay in my own quirky skin. Topanga, especially, showed me that girls and women could be strong and feisty while also being loving and understanding and feminine.
Listening to this podcast brings back all of those good feelings, complicated (in fascinating ways) by the nuance of your experiences - good and bad and in between. It’s like family therapy with a foundation of love. Thank you for making this show!”
