“I really like this podcast.
In combination with the transcript it is an excellent learning tool.
I think it has important advantage over the regular text books and audio books. Santiago has done excellent job selecting topics and writing scripts. The podcast have contemporary dialogs with real life Spanish. You learn phrases that are used today by real espanohabltes world over.
The other unique features of the episodes, that is not often found in the audio books, is the variety of dialects.
Usually the typical episode the performers are a man and a woman.
The woman named Elena, she speaks Mexican Spanish.
She has very attractive voice, a mixture of sparkling positive energy, confidence with just a touch of mischief. It creates very engaging character.
I could listen to her all day long.
And the guy named Manolo, he speaks Castilian Spanish. He is pretty good too.
The couple finds different real-life scenarios and play them out in front of microphone with inserted selected grammar topics.
So as you are getting accustomed to both dialects at once, and also getting grammar refresher- it is very useful.
I like to listen to the episodes while I drive, and when I get home I review the script.
Highly recommend subscription, for $5 a month you are getting a lot of value.”
