Growing up, Rachit faced a lot of difficulties navigating his emotions and trying to cope up with the challenges that disability brought with it. To make things worse, he was also made fun of at school which left him angry and bitter. But growing up, Rachit learned to laugh about his own disability and made peace with himself. He participated in sports where he even became a goalkeeper for his team. He believes that the experience made him believe in himself again. At the age of 18, he met a couple who guided him and had a huge impact on his life, helping Rachit see the world with a new perspective. However, things changed again when Rachit was diagnosed with Cancer again at the age of 23. Fortunately, he came out stronger than before and transformed his life completely. He took to cycling and even cycled 550 km from Manali to Khardung La. For Rachit, chemotherapy was the worst part about cancer as it was painful and left him physically weaker than before. Rachit also used Reiki as an alternative healing therapy and believes it worked well for him in addition to switching to a healthier diet.
