“I stumbled across Podcastle after doing a search for "horror podcasts" and coming across its sister podcast, Pseudopod. While my first love is short horror fiction, I find that the selections for the Podcastle stories seems to run a wider array and vary from mystical to heartrending, humorous to uncomfortable than those of Pseudopod.
More, I find that while Dave Thompson seems to suffer from extremely low blood pressure or exceptionally great non-prescription sedatives, he's an excellent host. When you have to spend so much time of any podcast with the host, it's really great to have someone that comments on stories, but doesn't necessarily get too deeply personal.
In the end, I consider this to be one of the better podcasts I've subscribed to and it's worth spreading the word of its existence. The world is better for this podcast being around, so check them out. And, for what it's worth, check out their other shows, Pseudopod and Escape Pod. Full disclosure, I haven't yet the time to listent to Escape Pod, so you'd be going only on the strength of PodCastle and Pseudopod (no small strength, though, mind).”
