Loving the podcast! And the FB group!
So, a friend just recently turned me on to listening to podcasts... I kind of thought it was something only nerds did, totally joking. Anyways, I am a third shift nurse working in surgical services so unless there is an emergent middle of the night surgery, we have a lot of downtime. I listen to the podcast mostly while getting my steps in doing laps around the hospital. The bonus episode from this past Monday, Increasing your creativity with free shooting, particularly resonated with me. Not only because I do this all the time but I also like stale cheese puffs, specifically better made, if you can get them in IN, I highly recommend. I like to drive around in the country, blasting Spotify or a podcast, looking for inspiration and often don’t have to look far. The podcast has helped me have the confidence to finally, after 2 years, go manual. There’s no going back now and I couldn’t be more excited. You recently commented on the photo of my godson that the control of shooting manual is addicting because it closes the creative gap. SPOT ON! Also, on top of loving the podcast itself, it’s opened up my world to a plethora of new tools and resources. And when you talked about how you never wanted to be a wedding photographer but then one day, you just fell in love with it. That’s how I felt about taking pictures of people, especially children but now it’s pretty much all I want to take photos of, kids playing, laughing and just being kids. Candids or in the least, unposed are my jam, I love surprising myself with the expressions, the wonder, joy, love, whatever feeling it may be that I can catch in someones face and body language. I digress and digress and yet again digress but seriously, LISTEN TO THIS PODCAST PEOPLE!
