Brilliant essays on film
These are wonderfully written and read in depth essays on classic films. Benedict stands well back from the films he talks about and sees their relevance to their own art form but he goes wider and describes the cultural and historical settings of these well known movies. His podcasts on Withnail and I, the Revenant and Raging Bull can show you the parts of the film that had reached you but you didn’t know how. Really excellent podcast.
