I would love to represent the Statesman in the listener league! Reckon he has a great, logical perspective on the game that he backs up with well-thought out ideas and data. He’s also living my best life on the road, which is an epic vibe. My partner and I are currently buying and renovating an old bus so we might even see the old fella cruising through the beautiful NT at some point in 2024. I’m not sure why this is relevant to fantasy but whatever.
I’ve played fantasy for 20 years, way back in the early days. My best finish was top 300 but that was almost a decade ago. Since then I’ve not had a great run, choosing to throw out heaps of risky picks for a laugh. Last two years I’ve dealt honed in my game: reaping the financial rewards of 2 league wins and a few runner-ups (Sam Walsh totally screwed me). In this time I’ve finished top 6000 and then top 4000. Not the best results but I was focussed on league wins rather than position. I also know where I went wrong and ready for a hat this year 💪”
