“I lost count of the number of times the interviewer established that (a) there was a body at the scene; and (b) it was the body of Michael Hutchence on the ground at the scene.
The questions were insipid, repetitive and tedious. This episode could have been a conversation about how police officers handle suicides generally as well as the inherent difficulty in dealing with a high profile case. Instead, it was an insensitive dissection of a man’s death.
The theatrics (cheap, dramatic soundtrack and echoed vocals) made for a poorly produced podcast with little substance. This show has a promising premise. The police officer obviously has many insights to share but this was totally lost on the interviewer. Shame.”
