Keen insight and delightful enthusiasm from these youngsters
It is a joy to hear Scott and Jeff and their well-chosen guests recount the stories of artists I know well, and many I don’t. Jeff tends to dominate the discussions, but I don’t mind because I really want to hear his insights. Scott and the guest commentators have their say, too. (Terry Teachout was particularly outstanding on the Band.) When the guys said it must have been great to see Bob Dylan and the Band on their 1974 tour, I nodded in agreement — I saw them in Seattle (evening show). The Zombies show was a left-field delight because I saw them a year ago and, thanks to the guys, am getting a handle on them. I always learn more even about the artists I know well, a measure of the depth of knowledge shared on this show. Thanks for a great listen! Suggestion for an episode: Procol Harum.

I think I heard you and your guest say All of My Love was a “cheesy prom song.” I believe it was written to honor Robert Plant’s 5 year old son who died.

These guys really know their history and speak with wit and insight and an obvious passion. I'm a big fan of a number of the bands they've covered and I'm always impressed with how much I learn from their input.Read full review »

I love the way they delve into an artist’s entire career - I learned more about Billy Joel and the Old 97s...Read full review »
